International Conference on Food, Child Culture and Education

On 1 and 2 April 2010, the Centre Européen des produits de l'Enfant (CEPE) of the University of Poitiers is organising an International conference to discuss latest findings relating to "Food, Child Culture and Education".

The conference will be held in French and English, with simultaneous translation, and take place in Angoulême, at the Cité Internationale de la Bande Dessinée et de l'Image.

The two day conference will discuss research projects carried out in North America, Asia, Africa and in Europe in themed workshops and each day will finish with a round-table discussion:

- "A multi-disciplinary view of the transformation in children's food culture" a scientific round-table discussion which will present recent advances in research at an international level.

- "Education marketing practices, are they credible?" a managerial round-table discussion drawing on the points highlighted during this two-day conference to help guide marketing practices for food products designed for children.
